To Bid By Telephone

  If you wish to bid by telephone, you must first reserve a line.  We reserve lines on a first come, first serve basis.  The line must be reserved by the close of business on the evening immediately prior to the day of the auction.  This is done by mailing or faxing us a completed and signed copy of our Telephone Reservation form.  No phone reservations are accepted unless the signed Telephone Reservation form is received.  We require a MasterCard for VISA number in order to reserve your telephone line.  Lot numbers and a short description of the items should also be included on the form.  During the auction, a member of our staff will call you about 3 minutes before the item comes up, and help bid live at the auction.  We sell in numerical order and follow the written program.  We sell about 80-100 lots an hour, so you can estimate the time an item will come up by dividing 80 into the lot number and adding this number of hours to the starting time of the auction. If you are a successful absentee bidder, and wish to pay by VISA of MasterCard, you will need to fill out our Credit Authorization Form and fax it back to us

Please enter the above listed bids on the indicated lots. I understand that these bids are executed as a courtesy and that AK Auction Company is not liable for any losses resulting from bids not executed or incorrectly executed. I understand that bids will be executed confidentially and competitively. In the case of identical left bids, the bid received first will prevail. I understand that a 15% buyer's premium will be added to each successful bid as part of the purchase price. Written and oral descriptions should in no way be construed as a guarantee of any kind as to age, condition, materials, or any other feature of items being sold. If you require absolute certainty in all areas of authenticity, and the results of your evaluation leave uncertainty in your mind, we recommend that you not bid on the items in question. We do not give refunds. All sales are final. No statement written or oral made by the auctioneer shall be deemed a warranty or assumption of liability by AK Auction Company or by any seller represented by AK Auction Company. WE DO NOT EXTEND CREDIT TO PHONE AND ABSENTEE BIDDERS. Payment for successful absentee and phone bids is expected within FIVE business days of the auction. Payment must be made by cash, approved check, bank transfer, MasterCard of Visa, with signed authorization form. We reserve the right to require bank checks for large purchases. Oriental rugs must be paid for by cash, traveler's checks, or received within ten days of the auction date. Absentee and phone bidding must be secured with a valid credit card prior to the auction and is offered only to clients outside the 828 area code. Cellular phones are not always dependable and we recommend reservations be made on land lines. ITEMS NOT PICKED UP WITHIN 1 WORKING DAY AFTER THE AUCTION WILL INCUR A $10.00 PER ITEM STORAGE CHARGE.
