General And Arrangement:  This is an all steel hull constructed of apparent good and adequate scantlings as an LCM-6 for the U.S. Navy at Marinette, Wisconsin in 1967.  The vessel has one deck, no mast, transom stern, house aft. Work/cargo deck and flat raked operable bow ramp forward. ·  The forward deck contains the full width operable steel ramp with a hydraulic ramp winch, 36' aluminum bulwarks port and starboard, well/cargo deck with wing tanks port and starboard forward, next aft a Hiab hydraulic deck crane, to starboard a Thompson Hydraulic anchor winch, next aft a 52" X 60" hatch to the insulated fish hold with steel cover and Baier 22" flush deck aluminum hatch, next aft the Thermo-Tech Brine chiller and hydraulic driven 15 ton compressor.  The fish hold is supplied with brine or fresh seawater by two Pacer 2 ½" Hydraulic driven centrifugal pumps. · The aft deck is accessed by walkways port and starboard of the deckhouse.   · The pilothouse is accessed by ladder from port aft of the deckhouse to the deck and then by weather door to starboard and contains the helm with seat, full engine control, gauges, instruments, compass, electronics variously. · The deckhouse is accessed by watertight door from the aft deck and contains to port aft the gallery table with fore and aft seating, next forward two tiered berths, to starboard aft the gallery with a 110 volt Hotpoint four Burner range/oven, single stainless steel sink and counter working area, next forward an enclosed head. · The deckhouse interior is finished with a carpeted sole, wood bulkheads, masonite overhead and aluminum framed windows.

GENERAL COMMENTS: Vessel appears sound and well built, overall condition and maintenance fair to poor.  Vessel was attended in dry storage with underwater body noted in general poor condition, covered with marine growth and rust, zincs 100% wasted.

RECOMMENDATIONS:  1. Vessel to be equipped with USCG approved flare kit. · 2. Replace life ring with new · 3. EPIRB to be serviced by approved facility, hydrostatic release to be replaced with new. · 4. Life craft to be inspected and repacked by approved facility, including hydrostatic release. · 5. Vessel to be equipped with minimum of two additional 5 lb. Dry chemical fire extinguishers or equivalent. · 6. Underwater body to be cleaned/blasted to bright metal, primed, preserved and painted in a workmanlike manner, new zines to be installed.  After sandblasting, all underwater fittings to be inspected with repair/ replacements as found necessary.

The above report is an unbiased opinion of the attending surveyor after careful examination of the vessel while it lay in dry storage and without making removals or opening up to expose parts normally concealed or testing for tightness or visibly and physically surveying the machinery internals or inaccessible areas, and without testing electronics, machinery, and equipment.  Further, no determination of intact stability or inherent structural integrity has been made.  Although in the evaluated opinion of the attending surveyor the vessel is considered a good risk for the service intended, with the exceptions noted, it is fully understood by all that this report does not constitute a warranty of the vessel in any respect and that no liability is accepted by the reliance of anyone on the opinions set forth herein.  It is further understood that this survey is for the benefit of the U.S. Small Business Administration only, and may not be relied upon by any other persons without written consent by surveyor and that anyone using this survey for any purpose agrees to hold Rocky Point Enterprises, Inc. and/or it's employees, representatives and surveyors harmless for any errors and/ or omissions regarding this survey.
